Kids Copy of Post, Need help with CTX EZbook

Hello,
I have just joined in this conversation, I would like to find out more information on a CTX Ezbook I purchased from a man who's family is moving. It is a 720 CS??
ANy information is helpful since he told me it had a dead battery ( enclosed in case) and I know absolutly nothing about Laptops whatso ever.. He also told me it had no floppy ( it does) and said he formatted and programmed Win 98 A. I wonder if it had the partiton that was mentioned in above??
Also I dont ( dont laugh) know where to place the battery anyway..
I found the cdrom drive the hd and all port locations but ??
Thanks everyone..

BTW I found that all the links abouve were dead. I called CTX and got this new address
http://www.ctxtec.com/support/download/drivers.htm
Hope that helps someone else.
My CTX EZbook operates fine, I just need to know more technical information about where to replace battery, can I add more ram? thanks

The batteries don't seem hard to find. Here is one place. Looks like the battery must slide into a slot on the side somewhere.

Did you get all the discs for this system?

I just was given a CTX Ezbook 700E, too. It has an AMD K6 w/MMX, and 32MB of ram.

I have the original CD and owner's manual that goes with it.

I have found CTX site that contains the original CD information here:

ftp://ftp.ctxeurope.com/drivers/notebook/

Obviously the 700E information is in the 700E directory.

Unfortunately, there are no BIOS.ROM files in this directory - it seems to only contain the OEM CD-ROM information, the readme file on which says that the BIOS will be here:

ftp://ftp.veridata.com.tw/953e/

But of course this URL is now defunct.

My EzBook seems to be working OK, and in fact after 3 days of being hooked up to an AC adapter the battery seems to be taking a small charge. I'm going to try and charge/discharge it to bring it back to life, but I also bought a new battery from here:

http://www.provantage.com/buy-7BATE0...s-shopping.htm

For $83.64
