wrong cpu displayed
system has pentium166 installed but when boots system says is 100mhz cpu system works fine but why doesn't system state 166 instead of 100?

These is/was pretty common back then. Per M$ knowledgebase about all you can do is to visually inspect the cpu.

You need to set the mainboard's jumpers to the right bus frequency and multiplier. Pentium-166 is supposed to run at 66 MHz, 2.5x.
