Is it ok to use 1800 mAh batteries to replace 1600 mAh batteries in a digital camera?

Thanks

Yep.

The higher the mAh rating the better.

Check out this review for an actual real-world test (benchmarking, let's call it) of all the differentNiMH batteries at Imaging Resource.

Keep that in mind when purchacing new batteries.

I agree...milli-ampere hours (mah) is the power ability of a battery at certain current loads.

A battery is a battery and will work all types of battery operated devices as long as the voltage is commensurate with the operating parameters of the device.
