Here is my sys info ( a part of it):

Available Physical Memory 9,93 MB <------ why is it that low??
Total Virtual Memory 434,56 MB

Sounds like your computer is running so busy

I'm using a Windows XP and long ago, my pc also notified me that my virtual memory is running so low during when I was playing HOMM 4 game (it takes me back to the deskstop while I was playing). I notice that when running a heavy program, the computer had to take a lot of juice of memory to run.

Things settled out when I slot in 320 MB RAM into my machine. I receive no more virtual memory problem. Everythings running fine. Maybe you might want to add in more rams into yours as well. Good luck

It's good if your physical memory is low, as long as your swap file is not overtaxed. Remember, unused memory is wasted memory. If it's being used, it's because your system needs it. On the other hand, if your hard drive is constantly griding due to overuse of your swap file, you may need more RAM.

Man you're all pros in here or what? hehe I thought I knew stuff about pcs but now I see you people...I know I don't This forum is a great idea for help, I hope it goes on working ))))))))))

yea osprey4 I guess you're right but when I go to play Medal of honnor AA for example , I can't for two reasons: 1- the program tests my pc and it shows smth bad about my memory (its in red) 2-it says plz insert correct cd (even when the cd IS inserted; but this is another problem) And on addition to all this when I do smth like play on a game (when I can) or transfer mp3 songs from media player to a cd, the pc starts making that freakin noise like an alarm or smth (tut tut tut tut tut...). I changed the ram and inserted some new ones but nth changed...maybe I should wipe out my pc and reinstal everythin. dunoooo :\

What Operating System are you running? 128MB really isn't very much for a modern OS, if you are running XP I would suggest you consider an upgrade to 256 (or more). What applications are being launched when the system starts, perhaps you have something that is eating a large chunk of available memory? Does the memory usage look high as soon as the machine boots or does it take some time?

I agree with eddy......

check out a program called autostarts from www.sysinternals.com and compare entries in there with the site http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.p...t=100&offset=0

If a program is not needed when the computer boots kill it. Will make a huge difference in memory usage and overall speed of your computer.

if you have any questions about a specific entry you are not sure about feel free to post back and ask....

sidenote kinda O/T: What is the deal with people wnating to so quickly re-install? is that where the techno geeks are heading? it's broke re-install. God I hope not. THAT should always be a last resort!! Don't be afraid to learn something about computers and os's and try to fix it first is my rule. BTW I have no formal training and yes I do fix alot of computers.
