YAHOO VS. GOOGLE SEARCH RELEVANCE

Fabulous tool searches both Yahoo and Google, and diagrams the comparative relevance of the results.

Google seems to come up with the better results....I think most of us suspected that already.

Even with the results, I still enjoy using Yahoo better than Google. Simply because I have been using Yahoo for a longer amount of time, and I also have my e-mail and all that.

I wonder if they have something like that for all search engines?

Yahoo is currently based on google....the results will be very close if not similar....I think only the paid results are different

I did hear yahoo was getting UN powerd by google but i don't think it has been implemented yet

I do find myself using google more though since I have dial up at my dads and also like to have a smaller page load if i give someone a link who might be on dialup

I'm not completely sure...

but I was reading an article today that said this:

Quote:
In late February Yahoo! stopped using Google in some territories. Instead, it started to push its own search engine, built around technology acquired when it bought the former Google rival, Inktomi.

I just tried a search of "LG DVD" ( My latest toy, an LG Electronics 8X DVD burner).

Only 2 hits appeared in both engines.

Would be an interesting challenge to find a smaller number of hits shared by both search engines...

I've never been a fan of Yahoo! Google is my favourite.

Used to use Altavista, but they seem to have gone to the crapper, aside from their babelfish translator.

I use Google when I do searches in the web. Yahoo! is OK, but nothing beats Google IMO. Altavista (as mensioned) was a nice search engine, but it seems its gone to the worse side.
