IMG00001.DAT

on march 13th i was having some serious problems with my xp home version. so i used the file transfer to save some music and pictures and other things i had on my c drive i then put it on my f drive. after i formatted the c drive and reinstalled the xp i was and am un able to open the back up i created IMG00001.DAT, IG00002.DAT in folder(USMT2.UNC) how can i open these files and use them or put them back in my drive. thye are currently on my cdrive. help please thankyouL

they way you typically use this is to log on to your f drive and click on the files and settings transfer wizard usually located in the start menu under programs > Accessories > System Tools. Select the following: Next > New Computer > I don't need the wizard disk > Other. Click the browse button and locate the folder you want (USMT2.UNC) and it will transfer all the settings for you.
