So AMD has the 64 bit cpu that goes agins intels hyper-threading. AMD must have cohones mas grandes cause that 64 bit is expensive compared to the price of a Intel Hyperthrading cpu.

Well, depends on which AMD chip, the FX's will be obviously through the stratosphere, however, the regular Athlon 64 utilizing the Socket 754 is much much better if you decide to go to the 64-bit route. Socket 939 is coming out soon if you can wait a little while longer.

Isn't the FX version for dual processing... Also doesn't intel offer a 64 bit chip.

intel's 64-bit should be coming out in a couple months or so, i think, the FX is just a more 'advanced' AMD 64-bit processor... not exactly for dual processing.

AMD doesn't need hyperthreading, and wouldn't really benifit from it much if it did have it. Hyperthreading is simply a technique intel uses to keep their long 21 stage (31 for prescott) pipeline filled.

The FX can be used in dual setups I think.

It is the desktop version of the opteron if I'm not mistaken.
