All that does is make me with I had more money....

I am still running an MSI VIA266a with 1700xp Pamomino and Geforce3

Oh well, guess kids and wife come first.

Sounds like a solid board, but its also a 64 bit board which not everybody is jumping on real quick.

we'll see how the different manufactures will change from the reference design, but as you said Vass...it is a solid board.

Unfortunately we won't see any real performance increase till the new Longhorn will be out...and games will be able to take advantage of the 64bit...

Don't necessarily need longhorn.. that'll probably kill performance with eye candy

XP 64 bit should be enough.

but yes waiting for games to take advantage of 64 bit is another story.

What about the onboard sound? On page 4 of the review it says they didn't go with the nforce2 APU. I wonder why not.

Nobody's jumping on 64bit because it's not ready yet. XP 64 is not out and even once that comes out you gotta have 64bit programs too, before it'll really take off.

With the new batch of AMD processors and boards coming out, i'm in a bind trying to decide between a new desktop, or a notebook.

Oh well, i guess the decision will be made when I get my income tax in the mail.
