I have a Pioneer 96kHz 24bit D/A Converter. used to work great but now when ever I turn it on it stays on for a minute but then OVERLOAD comes up on the viewer and it shuts off. Docent matter if it is on the stereo or CD player. I have lost the manual and also did not find one on line. Any help appreciated

I assume from your comments this si a combo unit that houses amp, cd and tuner in one unit?

Try disconnecting speakers and any other component and see if that problem goes away when you power it on.

I had an amp that did that once. I removed the speakers and the problem when away. It ended up being speaker wire that was chewed by a pet.

I will check the speaker wire thing out, we have two cats and one could be the culprit. The converter is just an am/fm converter with cd player and tape player separate. I have unhooked the other compo nets and it still has the problem, so off to check the wires, thanks for the suggestion.

thanks to jman01pa, I replaced the speaker wire with matching wire and the problem has seemed to go away, I will check it out for a longer period today, I didn't have time to turn it up and wait a while yesterday. But problem solved. Thanks for the help
