Outdoors

Nevermind. It seems telling them about a tool that makes it easy to partition was a bad idea.

yeah it's really easy with xp...in the setup you can make and format partitions...unless you have a restore disk....then you can just use fdisk on a 98 bootdisk (www.bootdisk.com) and setup will reformat the c drive as ntfs and you can reformat the others as ntfs when windows is installed if you wish

if you want to do it without reformatting you need a 3rd party program like partition magic

What do you want to partition pettah?

Starfury, If someone asks for help with XP don't just post and tell them to get Partition Magic

you should be able to run that as 1 partition...it sounds like you think it will be smaller without the partitioning...this is probobally not...unless it is your motherboard...which I think a motherboard that old shouldn't be running xp anyways....accually you could see in your bios to see what LBA is on

but...I completley understand if you just want the other drives

i would just use a 98 boot diak to partition it then when you get into windows you can reformat them as ntfs partitions if you want to...if you need mor instructions on partitioning with a 98 boot disk LMK

XP OS has a completely different setup compare to the old Win 98 days. Much user friendly. Even after running the cd, you can easily follow the steps and partition your needs.
