Gaming HELP!! Asrock K7VT2 sdram problems

Hello, i just wanted to know if anybody here has got any good ideas on what could be wrong. My computer boots up, and then freezes at the WinXP loading screen.

Specs as follows:

Asrock K7VT2 mobo
Kingston PC133 256Mb (x2) (doublesided)
Athlon XP 1800+ TB
Riva TNT 2 Ultra
60Gb HD Seagate Barracuda 7200.7

Allready tested following:

Memtest
Clr Cmos
Upgrade bios (including 1 unreleased, sent by asrock)
Changed powersuply (300w)
Checked both mem slots and memorysticks 1 at a time.

Everything works fine in Win98 but with WinXP pro i can only get it to work if i change the FSB from 133 to 100.

Anybody here who know anything about this..?

Might be a hardware conflict. Can you boot into safe mode in XP? Hit f8 when the bios hits the boot area.

do you use a pad or paste on your heatsink....if paste you should try taking off the heatsink and reapplying it

Try changing your HDD access settings to DMA2 or PIO mode 4 and try to boot ---
I think it is a DMA133 thing....
Also changing to a 40 wire IDE cable may tell the tale ...

Gaming

You need to look into your BIOS options , under the IDE devices - - RTFM!!
hehehe...
BUT now you say it's memory related!! I now suggest looking at your memory timings ALSO.
There is a PDF of the manual on your support CD...
get readin' kiddO!
There's also the OPTION to buy a single 512MB stick & peddle the 2X256's.....
