Hows these temps?

I just recieved and installed my new 2.8c p4 and 1 stick of 512mb DDR400. I overclocked it with stock HSF to 3.014. normal browsing, downloading, etc.. it runs about 35c and with a video encoding load on it, it runs about 54-55c. I was wondering if these temps are ok and if im doing everything right?

the fsb i overclocked 15mhz. its 215*14=3010
I also moved the vcore to 1.5500, it was originaly at 1.5250

Thats all i changed. Is this ok to do? I really dont feel like frying my chip in a couple of days. Im going to be getting a new HFS and some AS grease.

If it was an AMD it would be fine but I believe it is a little high for Intel. I don't think you need to worry about damage but you might want to get an after market HSF and AS5.

ya... seems kinda warm for that much of an overclock. The temps arent going to cause any dmg to the cpu.. but its borderline comfortable (normally 60 tends to be the magic number for inadequate cooling).
