SSID Broadcasting, STILL!?

ive got WEP enabled, SSID boardcasting disabled. ive got MAC filtering disabled at the moment but im gonna be turning it back on soon.

with SSID broadcast off, along with WEP being turned on, why the heck can i still see my network in the "view available networks" on WinXP???

that said, how do i make it invisable. (or is it always gonna be visable to me but not to anyone else?)

With WEP on only you will see your network with SSID broadcast turned off.

take off the wep keys on the laptop and your network should disappear

one more thing... what would make me keep intermittently disconnecting??? its starting to become a real pain in my butt.
ive tried taking down my firewall, all sorts of different combos with the security settings for the router... nothing. it still disconnects like every five or ten minutes...
