Opera acting funky

I posted a while ago about Opera having problems with flash amination. Well to remedy that I re-installed Opera. Now I seem to have more problems. Pages randomly wont load, and very frequently i get an "Object moved, please click here" or something like that, and it some times links me to the right page, or sometimes jsut another of those screens. I surfed around the same sites on IE and had no problems. Any ideas?

You didn't by chance install a preview version over a normal release did you?

They released a new preview release not long ago, try installing it into a seperate folder like C:\Program Files\Opera75

I don't beleive its a preview. It's version 7.23. I completely uninstalled opera before reinstalling it, so nothing was installed overtop of anything else.

I tried Opera a long time ago..I was not impressed and continued with IE. At that time, Opera did not come with an email client...does it today have a built in email client?

I just downloaded the new preview version yesterday, ver 7.5 I think. What is a 'preview' version?...fully functional?...can be registered without more downloads later?...what is the cost of the software today?..

Thanks

1. Yes it has an email client and an IRC client.
2. A preview version is kinda like a beta
3. yes fully functional but expect to hit a bug on occasion (I haven't found any yet, but they do of course exist) it is a preview version after all.
4. Yes it can be registered now, but you'll want to download the final version later.
5. I believe its 40 bucks but its the best software I've bought in a long time

IE I swear is the AOL of browsers
Learn the mouse gestures (ctrl B for help) and the keyboard commands are great
Inline search is really nice (in a webpage hit the / button, and in the lower left a text field will pop up so you can quickly search for a string)

You have to play with it for more than a day or two to really learn to take advantage of it

Gilthanaz
Did you delete the old directory after uninstalling?
When you uninstall it may not delete all of the config files, and they may cause a conflict.

Heh I got it for like $20 with the student discount thing

If on XP you may need to delete the Opera folder in the documents and settings\application data\user folder also.

I got it cheaper on a senior purchase (my mom) and its easily been the best investment in software I ever made. When Vass said

he was not lying! Faster, more features(popup blocking as default!), more secure, includes email client, must I go on? /OT

Gilthanaz, did any of the above suggestions help you? It does sound like the install is confused about something--registry issue, maybe. Post back.
