trouble getting on the net

Hi,

Each time i boot up my PC, i have to do an ipconfig release / renew.
It's at the point where where there has been value in creating a batch file, just to make that process a bit quicker.

I have done a re-install of XP and i have just changed the hardware in my PC, and although this problem was not the reason for that, that has not helped either.

Anyone know of anything else to try.

Hm. Sounds like it's not the computer that is the problem. You might want to phone your ISP and ask if anyone else is having these problems.

Are you going through a USB connection or regular CAT-5?

done that about a thousand times, pressing the reset button and doing hard shutdown.
