Keeping a Default Homepage...

The wifes 'puter won't remember her chosen homepage. It defaults to "Blank" whenever she shuts down/Restarts.

No matter how many times we type in a chosen homepage from... <Control Panel <Internet Options <General Tab, Homepage. Still defaults to "Blank", Which just brings up some generic search page?

Anything I'm missing to make the 'puter remember the homepage on the next boot? My 'puter seems to have no problem remembering where I tell it to go!

Running WinXp Pro on both systems.

Have you run Windows update and made sure your system is up to date as well as running spyware removal tools?

This was a new clean install on both systems 'bout two months ago, with SP1. I thought I was doing a good job on the updates.

hmm.."blank" is bringing up a certain page??

I think id try to see what the name of the page is and do a google search for it to see how to get rid of it....and yes, run adaware spyware checker.

Well it sounds like you have a Homepage Browser Hijacking on your computer.

The best way to repair browser hijackings is with HijackThis. You can do a search on Google for it and how to run it. It should fix your system up.
