well,i done did it again.
figgered i d try lindows, and knowing i had a free partition, installed it on an alternate partition from win xp.
now,i cannot get to my windows os. lindows has pretty much taken over.
i attempted a repair of existing version of xp. it copies all the files, and says its gonna reboot. then when it does, lindows attempts to boot. but it wont load up,for some reason.
i am not very experienced with this sort of problem. i cannot access anything on this machine.
when i installed lindows(the free version i downloaded ) it didnt let me know exactly what partition i was installing it on. all it did was let me know what size the partitions are and what type of files system of each. i have two partitions fat32 and one ntfs.i know xp was installed on the ntfs partition, so i winged it and installed it on one of the other two,kn owing that xp wasnt on either one.
so....any suggestions ??
i ve set the bios. to boot sequence 1..2...3... all three i put in cdrom and boot with my xp disc and choose repair of existing os.
i think the repair will work if i can get windows to boot from the cd after it reboots itself (after copying all the files).but that pesky lidows install keeps popping up.
thanks to all. any more info, please ask.
and it aint no big deal if i do a clean install. there isnt any important info on my machine, its all on rubys, whicn i am forbidden to mess with.
