Really Wroth the Extra $$$?

Hey all, my GeForce2 has finallly died off and I need a new graphics card. I plan on getting either a 9800 Pro or a 9800 XT. My question is it really worth the extra $150-200 to get a 9800 XT over a 9800 Pro? What really is the difference between the two? Thanks.

IMO, it's not worth the extra money. I doubt the differences in FPS and eye-candy are noticeable. And if you overclock, I've heard that the 9800 Pro can be OCed to XT specs.

The only differences I can think of between the two (except for the obvious increase in core/memory speeds of the XT) are the Overdrive feature and the built-in thermal sensor on the XT.

But, the 9800XT is currently top dog of video cards, and I'm willing to bet that John Prophet will tell you that chicks dig it!

I dont know if the 9800pros come with that rumored to be released sometime this decade game software. :/

the XT quit coming with that on december 31 do it is nolonger valid anyways
