how can i tell how much memory my computer is using

i am using w 98 se and am wanting 2 be able 2 find out how much of my memory i am using like in a % value is there a software out there 4 this and is there a way 2 find out were it is all going 2 as i have point 510 and with a 100meg pen 1 and 56meg memory am running nothing but windows 98se and am unable 2 get window media player 2 play anything but low bit rate items below 20 am using old wmp that is 4 use with my system requirments but still no go so only thing can think is not enough memory left after windows but windos not much memory right

Right click on My Computer on the desktop.
Left click on Properties.
You are now in System Properties.
Click the Performance tab.
What percentage of System Resources do you have?

Here is a page that will help you weed out uneccessary programs that you have running.

This page will show you how to use the System Configuration utility. (msconfig)

Let us know if you need help with what programs to shutdown in msconfig.
