Can't find file?

I downloaded a song a long time ago, and I just recently tried to delete the folder containing the song from my HD when I got this error:

"Cannot delete songname.MP3: Cannot find the specified file.

Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."

I don't have the option to delete the MP3 when I right click it, so I had to try to delete the folder it was in instead.

When I move my mouse over the file it says

"Type: Winamp media file (like every other MP3)
Size: 1.74MB"

Which is odd.. Because if it isn't there than why does it take up space? =\

I tried using the command prompt.. When I type del filename.mp3 it just says "Cannot find specified file"

I also tried deleting it in safe mode.. Same thing.. Can't find it.. But it's there. =\

How can I get rid of this stupid file?

Have you tried to create another folder, drag the folder with the song in it into the new folder, and then delete the new folder? It'll prolly do the same thing but it's worth a shot.

also sometimes renaming the file will work also, depending on the length of the filename.

or maybe move the file to C;/ making the path "C:/filename.mp3" sometimes that will work too.

There must be a way.

I have too much stuff to reinstall. I've already done some repairs, which didn't help.

I tried a program called "Zap" but when I ran it nothing happened.. Blarg
