for some reason this is harder then it needs to be.
i am trying to download the neverwinter nights client recourses ~1.2gb.
the linux client instructions dont mention anything about being able to use the cds. so i'm downloading the files.
problem is. my /home partition has ~120mb free.
i can't save it to / or to a folder on / . / has maybe 3gb free. i think if i knew how to set premissions i could do it. well the only way i know of requires me to be in kde as root. and i'm not in a big hurry to do that.
the other thing is. i cannot write to my mounted drives/partitions. even though it says its mounted rw. saving to one of them would be ideal as thats where i'm going to (hopefully) install nwn to. but if i can't copy the files i might not be able to.
it tries to anyway but it puts it in a tmp folder somewhere first. which then dies after it tries to download more then i have free
any thoughts?
edit... i just tried something. we'll find out in a while if it works or not.
i from a root console used links to download and pointed at my mounted drive. and this time the file has apreared in my dir. 4.4gb on that drive...
i need to burn some more of my anime collection

or buy some more harddrives
