Flashing Bios on Xbox modchip.....

I have an Xbox with the Executer 2.3 Lite Plus modchip in it. I can get to the cromwell flash bios screen and I followed the directions off of xbox-scene for recording the dvd. I have a Optorite DVD+-RW drive and I tried both the imitation DVD-R and the Memorex DVD-R. I still cant get either one to read on it. Does anyone have any suggestions for me???? Thank you.
