Mouse light stays on after shutdown?

In the process of building a PIII system after a recent MB/AMD upgrade.

We have it working with no problems.

This morning as I walked by the table it's sitting on I noticed that the optical mouse light was on.

No big deal I thought.

Then it dawned on me that the computer is shut down.

WTH?

This is strange to me.

That usually happens when connected to the PS2 port as it continues to supply power when shut down. It wont hurt the mouse having the light on all the time. If you don't want the light staying on, just connect it to the USB port.
