Gaming Nforce Audio Problem...

Hey guys,

I have had a A7N8X for over a year. And I had been using the onboard audio all this time. Everything ran great with no issues. Then I added a Adaptec 1200A Raid Card. Now I get static all the time in audio that is playing through my speakers. But it happenes more when I have more than one program on that uses sound. And to make matters worse, sometimes the static is intermittent. I don't know what gives. Never a problem till now. I am running WinXP pro as well.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried moving the card to another slot?

Gaming

Yeah I DL'ed the newest ones from Nvidia's website. Also, I haven't tried to move the card to another slot because it was recommended to keep the card in the slot right beneith the AGP slot for stability issues with the RAID. And I tried to find those 3.13 Remix drivers that I read about that takes care of some crappy sound issues, but I can't find a download anywhere for them.

Also if I were to put my old Audigy card into my system, would it run faster or at least the same performance wise as it is now with using the onboad audio? I was told that the onboard was better than the audigy, that's why I am not using it. What do you guys think about that? I am sure it would solve this problem...But will it drain my performance?
