Pci to agp converters?

I was jsut wondering if there was such thing? I've seen pictures of it, but im sure theres some restrictions. I jsut need a converter for my geforce 2 mx, and i really dont have the money to buy a good pci card right now

I've never heard of such a thing. I don't think it could work, + the card height wouldn't be right.

Hm ok. That's new to me.

You'd still need a Lof-Profile AGP card though (half card height).

The performance wouldn't be top notch I suppose. But it might work.

why would you want to do it? are you out of PCI slots? I doubt you would see any performance gain at all and I would actually expect you to have a lot of problems with it.

Well its not me actually its my friend... we use the comp as a server comp for whatver... and hes runnin a 2 mb card on there and doesnt wanna buy a new one. So he has this geforce 2 just sitting around, wants to get some use out of it.


I'm sure we'll run into problems, but im sure the geforce would un better then the 2mb factory one?

My bet is that an adapter like that would cost more than a cheap card that would be better than his 2megger.

Yeah, you could probably pick up a 16 to 64MB PCI card for a song on eBay. Or in the ForSale/Trade here or on other techie sites like Anandtech, etc.
