Kids Breeding files

Internet explore is creating no byte files in its directory, this is no problem till I run my virus scan which has to check each file and when I delete these files it takes a long time for my computer to reset itself--by the way did I say that it has been a much as 30,000 files in 8 folders. My system is a dell 350 with 128ram . Contacted Dell and the answer was unsatifactory. comment deleted Thanks to all that reply.

I pushed the start button three time maybe if I put this plug in the wall it will come on !

OK first what did they tell you was the problem?
What do you mean takes a long time for your computer to reset itself?
When did this start to happen?
Did you add new software before the problem?
What OS are you using?

btw, stop with the racial slurs, they are not appropriate here. (or anywhere for that matter)

Dell said I was trying to run the system with no cach . Cach is set at 1Mb .The operating system is Windows 98 with second edition updates . Makes no differance what hardware or software I run . I can reformatt and the problem comes back . The file are created in the window directory in the folder temporary internet Files under IE5 in the sub folders . It takes about 2 minutes to delet about 1500 + to the trash , then will sometime recieve error message stating trash is full . Delete trash takes about 2 minutes . Then computer will freeze for about10 minutes . The other problem is time . The time it takes for my virus scann to scan all of these no byte files and when I defrag . Thanks to all who reply

Increase your cache size to something significant. If you want to have no internet cache go into Internet options - advanced tab and choose to "empty temporary internet Files when browser is closed". This should eliminate the the zero byte cache problem.

This way you only save cache pages til you close all your browser windows.

IE5? Try upgading to IE 6

Also do you have 'offline content' enabled? This can create zero byte files.

Go to tools synchronize and uncheck all.

I searched google and MS knowledge database pretty hard and offline files was all I could come up with that was similar to your problem.
