Lindows for Free!
Lindows (a Linux distro, not free) is offering a free version for all readers from OS News. You can either download it from a mirror or by a torrent program. This is totally legal. Here is where I got this information from. And Here is where you can download it for free. You get a coupon from Lindows site for free so that you can download their OS for free. Currently downloading it myself. And offer you cant miss, hurry up, they dont have a date when the offer expires! You will save near $60 bucks. I have always wanted to try out Lindows, but since it was not free I never gave it that much attention. Enjoy!

Ok, I'm at "My.Lindows.com> My Products > CD Downloads" - what do I do now? I can't find any link the leads to an .iso file, just an ftp to "Modified source code", which I wouldn't have the foggiest on what to do with, heh.
Edit: got it... you have to go to the Shopping Cart and check out

Did you register first? You have to be a member in Lindows or something before you can download it. At CD Products you will see different version of Lindows, the free one is called LindowsOS 4.5 Developers Edition. Click on the Buy now! button and there you can enter a coupon code that is 'OSNewsLindowsForFree' insert the code and click update. Now it will discount the price of the product itself and you will get it for free. Then you go back to CD Products and there you can download it. Here is everything explained. Its really simple. Use BitTorrent to download it like a torrent, since using a normal download will make you enter a line where like 50 people are before you and you have to wait until they have downloaded their copy until you can start download. Also they just give you 30 min for download time, which is nothing, specially for Dial-up users. HTH's

Thanks OP!
Funny how I discovered this offer. I was surfing OS News to find some nice news to post here at TechIMO (to boost up my account a bit and of course for the news itself) and I saw this. I got really happy, but I thought first it wouldnt work, but it did, Still downloading the file, will take a while but its worth it! also the great thing is its the Developer Edition they offer, since you wont have to use Click-N-Run feature in Lindows since it comes with most of the stuff that you can order from it, and of course that feature costs money so you get that for free too! Very nice offer by Lindows I think.

Wow, how do you get that speed!? Its probably because you live near the US. I get an average of 20kb/s.

Yeah, I must be near a server... I'm in Canada, not too far from California. I'm about 1/3 done now, lol.

Download complete! Are we the only 3 interested in this? Kinda hard to believe... maybe we're the only ones awake at this hour
