Kids Is my PSU enough??

Here is my system specs:
Tt Xaser II Case w/ Allied 350 PSU (3.3v 28A, 5v 35A, 12v 16A - Combined 3.3v & 5v 200W)
MSI 865PE Neo2 SL
2.4GHz P4c 800FSB HT @ 2.6GHz HT (Enabled)
Vantec AeroFlow
2x256MB=512MB Mushkin Enhanced DDR400 (Matched) Dual Liner Mode 3.4.4.8 (Ultra Turbo Mode)
ATI Radeon 9800 NP w/ Tt Giant II
Onboard Sound
Onboard 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN
60GB Western Digital ATA100 7200rpm HD
13.6GB Western Digital ATA66 5400rpm HD
16x48x DVD
Philips 20x10x40x CDRW
Win. XP Pro

Now that I installed the new chip is this PSU sufficient? I was told my 12v rail is extremely low and should be no less than 25A and I should be running at least 450Watts. But finding a PSU that puts out those numbers runs $60 - $80.00 . I thought the 3.3v & 5v rails were the ones to look out for.

better if you have a decent 450W PSU. your putting in a lot of hardware to your system and more in the future maybe.

you look out for all rail voltages, i suggest.

Quality of the ps is more important than the rated wattage. A high quality 300w ps will do you better than a cheap 450w ps.

A few years back the 3.3 and 5v rails were the ones to look out for because those were what the CPU ran off of. These days its the 12 volt rail that needs to be beefed up becuase the CPU feeds off that, as do the higher end video cards that require an external power connector which yours does. Of course you'll have to spend a bit more money for a high power quality PSU, but thats just how it is unfortunatly. I wouldn't be running a system like that on an Allied 350 personally.

Figures... that would be the $79.99 one... . Expensive ......

that's only 7A more on the 12v rail. Will it really make that big a difference if I am to be worried about the 12v???

I was told that I will need atleast 30A on the 12v rail because my New CPU Requires 11 Amps to Itself, and my Video Card can use up to 7 Amps , So that Puts me Well over my 16 Amps that my +12V Rail Has, And if I OC my CPU it Can Draw up to 20% More Amps then it's Stock Requirements.

Even the Antec 400w PSU for $79.99 only has 23A 12v rail.

Does this looks safe for now until I can scrounge up some cash for a better PSU?

Those voltages look fine to me. It depends on two things though, the load of the PC (higher the load, the bigger the voltage drop) and the temperature of the PSU, hotter PSU's cannot deliver high power when they are too hot.

My power supply 12v rail goes UP when under load, almost to 13 volts! I will definetly be getting a new PSU when I have the chance. I will probably go for a Zalman 400 watt.

The best way is to run something like seti and them monitor the voltages again and if they are still like that I should not worry at all.
