Evidently with RAIDO you have to do the array first.
But with RAID1 you dont.

on the right youll see "user manual"....download it..look on page e3.
first it tells you that if you build a raid 0 array that all data will be erased from the drives....
then it says, about RAID1....."if you want to create a RAID1 (mirroring) array, please make sure which hard disk is the source disk and which one is the destination disk. If you make a mistake you may copy the blank data to the source disk which will result in both hard disks becoming blank"

so basically when you do a RAID1 setup it copies the one hard drive to the other...so just make sure you have the proper drive chosen as the source...and the blank drive as the destination.
(just like using nortonghost, if you get it backwards it will just end up with 2 blanks drives, lol)

I dont think there is any need to format or partition etc because as I say it is just like using ghost..where it doesnt matter if it is formatted or whatever first cuz it is overwritten anyway.
