Thank you for both of your postings.

My Parckard Bell is just under 2 years old, and is a fairly good version of a Desktop Packard Bell I feel. The only thing which let me down was the previous operating system.

I will try what you have suggested, but I am in need of help with the acutual device manager, as my 'help and support' function does not help me with what I am trying to find out.

The problem lies in the fact that if you look at the list again - I don't know what refers to what in the 'Human Interface Devices', so I don't know what to uninstall -
