? On Routers, Wirerless..Whats needed

heyal,

have a question for future hook up and i'm not knowledgable in this area.

built a pc thats going to be without internet connection untill a router can be purchased. there is 1 connection already so this one would be added on later.

now when u do this all i know is that u need a router,
what else would be needed? And would a wirerless router work and what would be need or different for that type of hook up. i thought that would be best since it would be in separate room from 1st connection.

I think you just need the router itself, then a PCI wireless network card for EACH computer that you want internet on.
Should be an install disk included to get the drivers for the cards loaded.
If you have a Cable internet connection, it should just be up and running after the drivers are loaded.
I don't think it'll be too hard.

I'm am assuming that you have DSL or cable already.

Wireless routers have the option of connecting wired ethernet devices so you will only need one PCI card for the remote PC unless you want to move your current system somewhere else.
