POP The Sands Of Time

This game is a blast! I like it alot, after BF crapped out on me basically. I went shopping heh. THis game is very much fun the fight sequences, the variation. THe scripting is there but a nesceary evil in this case. Anyone thinking of getting this game, do it...its great.

One funney thing is UBI joined the Nvidia campeign. So last night I took the card "Nvidia The way its meant to be played and what it means" card and mailed it back to nvidia yesterday with a letter. Telling them how that capmeign is lessoning software development. My experience with it (all in a civil manor) not id'ing ATI cards for support. And how it influences non techy oriented folks into nvidia being the only comapt card with todays games. THen I said I sent back the card "cause the way its meant to be played is with my ATI" LOL. So they could have their "fanboy" card back and give it to someone else they can marketing brain wash. Well see what they say I gave them my email. heh.

heh guess Im a little late eh? Oh well. Its tops I think! Runs like butter on my 9800. One thing I noticed. IT has nvidia all over it yet my Nforce2 nvidia sound has issues. And its the best nf2 sound there is. Te mcp-t audio. Only game with sound issues too. Thats laim. The voices would just drop on some of the cut scenes and Id miss the plot. I went back and fiddled around. With Direct sound acceleration at "basic" it plays sound right BUT once and a while it will "pop". Yea, they really tweaked it for nvidia rigs. LOL. Still all in all even with that sound bug its a must own title IMHO. G3 and above required for the pixel and vertex shader support. SOme got G4 mx to work but its SLOW and choppy plus not "officially" supported so no patches to help.

At least it isnt AOL brainwash xtreem. I cringe everytime those commercails come on TV. But on topic, PoP rocks! I'm pretty poor, and I saw that it had no multi so i figured id complete the game on a rental, turns out I finished it twice on the same rental cause it was that good. Its strange that I liked it so much because I hate tomb raider and it has lots of tomb raider-ish elements. I guess it was just presented in a fresh and better way that I actually enjoyed trying to figure out the way out of this puzzle room instead of running to my computer and looking at an FAQ. good stuff.

tried the demo of POP. I have trouble getting the attack timing right to do multiple attacks in sucession and with jumping over the enemies sometimes. cant afford it right now though
