Kids Norton Securities and SQL Server

I would like to run ASP scripts on localhost IIS 5.1 that communicate with SQL server databases but my Norton (2003) is blocking the communications. I can connect to the database within an ASP document but when I try to read any data it blocks the communcation. I tried configuring the firewall by taking out General rules I figured had something to do with my problem but none of the ones I deleted did anything. I tried to disable Norton securities only to find that even though it claims to be disabled it really isn't. Can anyone explain this one?? I even tried to stop the script stopper in virus scan - but it didn't help any!

So I uninstalled Norton Securities and the ASP now communicates just fine with SQL server and I can read/modify/ the whole works !! I know from this that it had to be Norton Securities..

What can I do???? What do I need to permit to get my ASP / SQL communications to work?
