Matrox 80 GB 7200 detected incorrectly!

I'm trying to install a HD 80 GB on a M748LMRT motherboard but I cant! First it wouldn't get detected by BIOS so I upgraded it and now it works! When I fdisk it, it shows me the wrong capacity, I tried to format it anyway and the PC says it's got 12,62.95MB!!!
I tried Fdisk/Format from Win98SE and Win ME boot disks! How do I get this HD to be recgonized correctly???? Thanks in advance!!!

NEVERMIND! NEVERMIND!!!! I just finished formatting it again while it showed me the wrong capacity but after it got done it listed the correct capacity!!!!!

You've been using an old FDISK that has a numerical overflow and wraparound at 64 GBytes. That's why your "80 GB" drive shows as 12 - 80 marketing GB are around 75 real GiB, and minus 64 that's about the 12 you've seen.
