does anyone play DAoC?

you just have to love this game! it's awsome, graphics, well ok but gameplay is great!

there are a lot of different characters you can create, a lot of differet jobs you can learn, and the worlds are huge!

does anyone play this here too?

I don't really like RPGs. I tried bulders gate and got killed right away. I am just not good without a gun in a game.

well it's a online rpg, but still i love it! btw you'll love it too, because the landscapes, the effects, and the gameplay are just great!

I do! It's a cool game allright. I just used up my 30 day free trial and bought another 3 months. The graphics are kinda somewhat dated, compared to whats out there, but the content is there for sure. Although the graphics arent that bad, at least it runs on my old machine which is a plus. I play mostly in albion as a fire wizard. And in reply to super gerbils question, when you buy the game, which is really cheap now, you get a 30 day free trial. After that you can either pay by credit card or use an alternate method of pay through paybycash online. It's quite cheap really, for the monthly fee. Like $12 american. Hmm and yes, the skies at night, the weather changing, I once went to a place with a high level guy way up in some mountains. It was all snowy and he was killing huge colorful crabs that were twice as tall as us. The graphics may be dated but it's enough to get me addicted. Dont rate the graphics by the crappy looking screen shots provided on the site either, they dont really do much justice until you are actually immersed in the world itself.

The wife loves the game. She's on it day and night ( usually night ). She's quite addicted to it, and has the books, expansion packs, you name it. Short of wearing period garb, she IS the game. And now that her guild has a teamspeak server....

Personally, I don't think I could get into that game. I personally like to aim and fire my own weapons, and not spend an eternity building up my character.

If I played that game, I'd have a level 5 character after about a year
