Hotmail question...

Is there ANY way for me to find out if somebody has checked my Hotmail account, even if they never read any messages?

Thanks!

Mike

Sorry, it was me - I was reading your email.

Can I still have some M&M's?

(Honestly dude, I have no clue how you could tell unless one of the messages you're sure you never read is now marked as read.)

is the person on the same computer as you???

if so... maybe by looking at your cookies and seeing if somebody logged on to hotmail at a certain time?

what about your browser history?

these are just speculations... not sure if it will tell you anything.

No, not at all...that's what I was thinking...unless they were to read a new message that I know I haven't read, I don't think there's a way for me to find out. Just thought maybe there was a "login" log or something somewhere online that I might find as an option in Hotmail, I don't use it much. Or maybe a "last logged in on " with a date/time stamp?

Hmmm...just noticed, Hotmail has a "mard as unread" option and I just tried it (it works just fine), so there is NO way I would ever know.

Darnit!!!

EDIT: I meant to edit that last post...sorry!

i think you can turn on in the options for it to show you when you last logged in... it will show up above or bellow the folders on the left or that is how it used to do it. but.... assuming they see it they could turn it off... but if they did you would know something is going on.

Sweet, thanks Phenious! I'll have to dig around the options a liittle now...

EDIT: Hmm, I'm not finding it anywhere...all I see is Profile, Password, Secret Question, Language, Weather, and Session Expiration and it isn't in any of those.

I had someone hack my hotmail account about 8 years ago all you can do is do a routine of changing your password, means even if they do get it it will not be useful for long, also put a long password of nums and chars to make it as difficult as poss to get in (just write down what you put in so you know you can get in *LOL*)

Yeah, I guess I need to change the password a bit...haven't ever changed it to be honest. I don't even see a "last logged in" date anywhere on the page. Is it any different if you use it through Outlook rather than the web?

Nope, haven't tried that yet...good idea!
