Need help...can't get internet since i left my dorm.
Ok ive been doing some extensive testing on my computer and ive found out that ever since i left my dorm which has a built in network, i can no longer get internet anywhere else but there. Ive tried 3 different peoples internets and they don't work. ive tried everything i know but i keep getting this error when i try ipconfig/renew
An error ocurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection: An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.
It also says i have an "automatic private address" under my local area connection. I am connected through a router and i cannot even see the other computers. I cannot get a connection to the router for some reason. The router works fine on the other 2 computers and used to work fine on my computer. But ever since i came back from my dorm it no longer works. Im sure the tech guys did something there which messed it up. Is there anyway to set everything back to default. Would uninstalling then reinstalling the connection work. (i just tried that...didnt work...i have an integrated card)Please guys i need help. Im supposed to be part of this big game going on tonight but i can't get my cpu on the internet! My aim is akiller7k and you can page me on this cpu anytime right now...ill be on. Thanks for all the help in advance.
