PCI 4port router card?

Found this and was wondering if anyone had experience with these or similar and if anyone can reccommend them or have any warnings against....

The only thing I would wonder about these things is whether they look after the networking functions onboard, or whether the duties are placed upon the CPU. If all the instructions are sent to the cpu, could the information flowing through the card swamp the bandwidth of the pci subsystem? If that was the case, then you'd notice a significant degredation in the performance of your own system.

That's the only concern I would have.
