monitor drivers

I have a compaq Presario laptop 1400.14XL240. I need a monitor driver for it, I had reformatted this computer and now I can barley see anything on it. I had this problem before and can't remember where I found it.

I have been to the compaq web site and downloaded one but didn't work. The other one was going to take 20 minutes todownload with roadrunner so that didn't seem like it would be the right one.

if that is on a dial up connection then it is a relitavley small driver...the newest catylst drivers for radeon cards are like 20+mb
