At Home Help me Decide (Video Card Related)

My friend is currently wanting a upgrade from his old video card. In his computer he doesnt have an AGP slot so he is forced to buy a PCI Graphic card. He has three choices. (Please dont post telling me to tell him to buy a new motherboard with an AGP slot since he is happy with his computer except the graphic card) The choices are:

- Creative 3DBlaster GeForce FX5200 128MB DDR
- Hightech Excalibur ATI Radeon 9200 128MB DDR
- ST Labs ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB DDR

I told him that the Hightech Radeon is the best choice of all these, but I also told him to wait since Iw as going to check with you guys first. I have heard that the SE editions arent as great as the standard ones, is this true? I also told him that I really dont think the FX Series of Nvidia is a great choice, I personally dislike this serie. What do you think? All of them have a smiliar price tag. The Nvidia video card is the most expensive and the Radeon 9200SE is the cheapest. Help him decide please, since I dont have much knowledge regarding video cards.

I would stay very far away from any SE version of Video Cards. Basically they are Underclocked Video Card.

So between the two I would choose the ATI 9200. I have it on my laptop and its really good.

hope it helps....let's see if anyone has a comment...

I wish I could help, but I don't know much about PCI video cards. I do have personal experiences with the AGP versions of the R9200 and the FX5200, and I'll tell you that I didn't really find much of a difference between the two. The 9200SE is a crippled version of the 9200, so unless your friend is really strapped for cash consider the other two choices.

Thanks guys!
A Benchmark comparison of PCI video cards would be nice to see. I havent been able to find one though, most are AGP tests.
