Are Shuttles any good?

Or any barebones system for that matter. I'm thinking of getting an AMD based Shuttle, and a 17" Iiyama TFT, i LAN a lot and it's mainly for easy transportation.

Any good, small, cheap-ish (not too bothered about price) barebones systems you can recommend? Preferably AMD, Intel is too expensive.

*Edit

Also, i'm a bit skeptical about the power supply, it states that it is 230W. Would this be enough for:

Athlon 2500 Barton
7200 RPM Maxtor
512 Ram
9800 NP
CD-RW

yes they work fine but they run alittle warm . i have a shuttle and another brand also . but work fine but like i said run warm . so if you are afraid of heat you will have to mod them to cool them off .

as for the power supplys i haven';t had a problemm with them .

Don't know about the Shuttles but you will need a new power supply. I just put a AIW 9800 in my system and I had an Antec 350 ps. That poor little power supply was working so hard the temps shot up about 9 ºF. I put in an Antec 550 and everything returned to normal. Actually it was a bit better than before as temps drop an additional 2 ºF.

Here is a tool to help you calculate your power needs.

My current power supply is 300W and runs fine in my current system, the thing is, shuttle's use smaller power supply's to fit in the case, and 230W is the one supplied.

I've had a Shuttle SB61G now for 8 months...Intel 865 chipset with a P4 2.4 GHz, a SoundBlaster Audigy and an ATI 9500 Pro...great machine. Yes, it runs a little hot...so not overclocking unless you do some modifications to the case and airflow. Power supply has been very reliable...

I've had a couple of Intel based Shuttle boards, their Moonwalker series. Also worked on a couple of other Shuttle boards. No real problems. I remember it was real easy to OC my old Pentium II through the BIOS. From the original 400Mhz, I got it clocked to 500Mhz with no problems.
