Vice City Help Needed Please
Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me with a mission in Vice City that I'm having a problem with. It's the mission where you have to use the remote helicopter to plant four demolition charges in the building under construction.
I have tried to do this mission close to 50 times over the course of a couple of weeks, I'm not exaggerating. For whatever reason, I can not control the helicopter well enough to complete the mission. I have come close several times only to have the copter blow up because I keep hitting the wall or ceiling.
The copter is hard to control because when you change direction, the view swings around and throws you off balance trying to control the damn thing. I have tried using the keyboard, then the joystick and still have had no luck.
If possible, is there a way to bypass this mission so I can continue onto the next series of missions? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Hans Groenewold

Hello Hans,
I had lots of trouble with that mission too, and I don't think we are the only ones. I finally got used to flying the 'copter, but could never finish before time ran out. I must have tried it 50 times as well...
The only way I ever completed the mission was by using a "trainer" to turn off the timer.
It seems to me that we discussed trainer's awhile back- didn't we?
Even with the timer shut off, you will still take damage from gunfire or crashing into walls.
But, at least you have more time for what you need to do.
I don't remember exactly which trainer I used, but I'll see if I can find it for 'ya.

I gave up on that one.... it's imposible with the keyboard...
I heard it's a lot easier with a gamepad.

I'm pretty sure that it was Pizza's +10 Trainer, which you can get ---> Here
There are other ones available, but I don't feel comfortable posting that link here.
If this one doesn't work, shoot me a PM or e-mail and I'll give it to you.
Good luck! |

Aero,
Thanks for the link, I got the trainer installed and will try the mission again. I think I'll be able to pull it off now that the time pressure is off. It'll still be tough but I'll have a better chance. We did discuss trainers a while back now that I recall. Hey, we all need help now and again. I never would have finished Call of Duty without it. Thanks again, I'll let you know how I make out.
Sincerely,

well you can do it with the keyboard only remember to use the awsd and 5,8,9,6....
It's a little tricky but it can be done..... it got like 30 second left when I got the mission done, I got it at 7 try...

Aero,
I finally got the mission done, thanks a lot. The trainer stopped the timer for me, taking the pressure off. I also realized that hitting the Q key rotated the copter around, a big help. I got it done the second time around this time. Time to move on to some more missions. I had Vice City on the back burner for months when I couldn't get this mission done, it baffled me. I aways try to do the missions without help first. GTA III was tough at times, but this one was a real challenge.
Sincerely,
Hans Groenewold
