From what I've read, their made specifically for small, sleek, thin, ultra-portable laptops, and are mainly in laptops whose target is college students and professionals who don't go gaming, since, in reality, gaming should be the last thing a laptop is used for IMHO).
The Intel Pentium M Processor was first made for laptops, thus that is what it excels at. It goes hand in hand with the Intel Centrino Mobile Technology, also made for laptops, and is made up of three components; the Intel 855 chipset family, the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection, and, as already stated, the Intel Pentium M Processor. So knowing this, you can logically assume that a laptop that uses Intel Centrino Mobile Technology is very lightweight and portable, and not meant for gaming. The Pentium M tops out at 1.7GHz right now, has 1MB L2 cache, supports 2GB of DDR, and runs on 400MHz FSB. These specs should be plenty for any college student or lawyer in my eyes.
More information on the Intel Pentium M Processor can be found
here, and information on Centrino can be found

As for how they stack up? Well, for gaming I would expect not so well, but I would think that you can't beat it for size and weight in a laptop.
What I told you is pretty much al I know about laptops
