Linksys 4 Port Port Router

I've got the Linksys EtherFast router, and need to know how to set up IP addresses for the 3 computers attached to it. Does it to the work automaticaly or do I have to set it up myself?

You should read the manual. You need to configure the router to act as a DHCP server and each PC/Mac should be configured to obtain the address automatically instead of having it manually assigned (static IP).

You will need to assign an IP range. Assuming that this is on an internal network, the default is fine (usually 192.168....) Don't forget to change the password.

straight out of the box, the router is already set in DHCP mode. you should be able to just plug the computer into the router and presto they have ip addresses.

like mtatech said, read the manual its really simple to understand
