Based on your posts, I assume you're new to building your own machines. I always advise people to just install the MB/power supply/RAM/CPU(&fan)/video card/monitor/KB/mouse. Leave all the drives and other cards disconnected.
You should then be able to boot into BIOS and check the basic settings.
Once you know the basic components are working, you can add the primary HDD and CDROM. Then install the OS. Finally, add in any other drives and cards. Make sure each component is working before you move on to the next.
Once you do it a few times, you won't have to be as meticulous - but its best to take it one item at a time on your first build.
