Hmm? You mean you want to change the port an application uses without having access to the router?

That would depend on what side of the router you're on.

What exactly are you trying to do?

im trying to change which ports applications on my computer use since i dont have access to the router since i am on a campus connection. the reason is that they set up a firewall to block certain things, but it also blocked other things such as AIM file transfer and i think direct connect. its a pain to email things since the university email is unreliable and slow.

well, reading through their statement, i found what applications they want to stop, and i have no intention of using those. im just trying to use a program that was blocked in the process. still within their guidlines.

Since you are appearently not trying to bypass any security restrictions... yes, you can use a port redirector.

Some examples:

http://ntsecurity.nu/toolbox/winrelay/

http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/10/7/10-7-6.shtml

Keep in mind that the receiving computer must be setup to use the non-standard port or otherwise have it's own redirector to direct the incoming data to the correct port.
