Lock a folder?

Hey all,

I was wondering if there's an easy way to lock a folder? Or password protect one so you have to type a password in before it will show the contents? I remember something like this in 98 or ME but is there a way in XP? I just want to have a secure folder instead of doing something like creating a partition. Thanks

If you're using NTFS you can change the permissions on the folder so that only your user can view the contents.

right click the folder, select sharing and secutity, select sharing tab, tick "make this folder private.

I'd like to do that too... But my boxes for those options are greyed out... How do I enable this option...?

my acct had admin privileges.

should I go under 'Administrator'?
