Problem with NEC ND-1300A dvd-writer

Hey guys,

I bought the above dvd-writer, and am experiencing a minor problem.

See, it reads dvd's flawlessly, but it won't read any cd I put i there.

Is there anything I'm missing? This is the 1st time I have a dvd writer, but it's detected fine by windows, so...

That's where I would start.

Is this drive set as master?
