Possible to get multiple internet connections through a switch?

Ok here is what I have.
I have one computer with 2 network cards. both external.
Then i have another computer with a network card.

All i have access to is a switch for the moment.

Is there anyway to get the internet connection to both computers.
Right now I have the modem connected to one card. Then the other card goes into the switch, then the other computer connects to a switch. I've been told that if i set up a "residential gateway" that this could work. Problem is that I have no clue how to set up a residential gateway and ive tried to do it using every possible method with the network setup wizard. Any suggestions or a link to some helpful information would be greatly appreciated

I still have another problem. Although i do have 2 different network cards installed on this one computer im not seeing this part

"Under Internet Connection Sharing, in Home networking connection, select any adapter that connects the computer sharing its Internet connection to the other computers on your network. The Home networking connection is only present when two or more network adapters are installed on the computer"

Its not present. both network cards are external. Where is this screen and why might it not be showing up on my pc?

An efficient networks SPEEDSTREAM 5100 dsl

actually both network cards are external...my bad...i was thinking of my other computer. Well actually im not sure what the exact terminology is. They are not integrated but they are in the pci slots....so if thats external then they are external...but i have both the network cards in pci slots. Btw, what screen would the home networking icon be in? The advanced tab on the local area connection or what? Maybe im just looking in the wrong place.

p.s. feel free to IM me...im going insane just sitting here and ive been working on this for hours.

This is probably going to be of no use but,

http://www.gyre.co.uk/help/broadband...on_sharing.php

And as I understand it computer 1 has to be on for computer 2 to work.

Where is DVNT1 when you need him?

for clarification: an "external" modem is one that is not installed directly into the pci slot. an "internal" modem is installed by taking off the cover of the puter and installing it directly onto the motherboard.
I think you were confused there.
I also am trying to enable internet connection sharing (ics) using windows 2kpro, using a switch to connect three puters.
dial-up is slow, but I'm willing to give it a go. I've found tons of info about this type of ics, but have yet to get it to work
I do know that creating a network with a switch isn't hard to do, cause I have one set up now. it's the sharing of the internet connection I'm still trying to figure out.
good luck!

Well i could easily network the computers but i was never able to split the internet connection. I wonder if it was because i was using a DSL? who knows. and i wasn't really confused on what was the difference between the two types of modems, i just couldnt remember the word "integrated" What i meant to say was one of my cards was integrated and the other was internal on a pci slot. But i didnt feel like thinking too hard. I was already mad enough...lol
