Vaio PCG-F630 PC Card problem

I picked up a used vaio pcg-f630 and after installing XP Pro it will not recognize any pcmcia card I put in. In device manger everything looks good and I have tried several different cards and cannot get it to recognize anything.
The specs:
AMD-k6-2 550mhz, 256mgs, 12gig,
Flashed bios to latest version (supports xp)
Formatted and gave it a clean install with no problems.
Pcmcia adapter is a TI PCI 1420 cardbus controller.
A firewire is onboard and is showing as the network adapter, and I have disabled it.
Any ideas where my problem is ?

Thanks

Are they inserted when you power on?

Tried em in and out, removed card bus and reinstalled. No conflicts, and all system board drivers installed.
